Excellente cuisine méditerranéenne Endroit tranquille dans une rue annexe au littoral maritime. Quelques tables sur chacune des deux étages. Excellente cuisine méditerranéenne à prix fort raisonnable. Poissons et viandes au menu. Service professionnel et discret. A retenir à Torremolinos si vous cherchez autre chose que les fritures et autres plats de cuisine rapide servis dans les restos du bord de l’eau.

Lovely, upmarket dining We were wandering the back streets of Carrihuela looking for somewhere for an anniversary meal, and discovered this place. We had read some reviews, but didnt realise this is where we were as there is no sign outside just a small Resaturant sign on the side of the building and a menu out front. We were seated downstairs and after ordering were brought the house bread and salami which was a lovely touch. We both had the soup to start then steak diane and the fish special which was turbot. both beautifully presented with a side of fresh vegetables. We were too full for a desert. The staff were polite and professional and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The final bill was 83 Euros which is a little more than we would normally pay for a holiday meal but we did consider this fine dining and it was for a special occasion. Would definitely return if ever in the area again.

Paul’s 50th After a rather lacklustre walk looking for a good place to eat we finally went back to this little diamond which is right under where we’re staying. It did not disappoint! The food was so good we are going back again tomorrow (our last night in the lovely town of Torremolinos). From a wonderful broad bean starter to a beautiful glass of Sablette with dessert. Total yum - highly recommend

Excelente opción para cenar Excelente restaurante un poco fuera del área turística de Torremolinos. Vale la pena la visita. La comida es buenísima y el servicio excelente excelente. El lugar es visitado más por gente local que por turistas. O por lo menos la noche que fuimos.

Lekker eten op vakantie Weer met 2 andere stellen lekker wezen eten bij Caliu. We komen hier elke vakantie weer terug, en ook nu weer voortreffelijk. Het 3 gangen menu is een aanrader, heerlijke wijn en vriendelijke bediening. De volgende keer komen we hier weer.

As Amazing as Always! I have reviewed this restaurant before, but as it's been two years since we could travel to Spain and Caliu we wanted to review it again. So much has changed in the world since we last visited, but I am happy to report the quality of this restaurant is not one of them. Food: The food at Caliu is consistently outstanding. We ate here several times and there was not a single dish we didn't love....and I am a big foodie. All of the Caliu classics were just as fantastic as usual...the croquettes, languostines and steak tartare are some of my favourites. The steak tartare is prepared at the table and they allow you to taste and request extra spice etc. to make sure it is exactly to your taste. There are some beautiful new additions as well, such as the duck foie gras, so if you are a regular be adventurous. The special menu is a great way to try the restaurant, but I would highly recommend trying some of the al a carte dishes too as they are all superb. Drinks: Caliu has a wonderful wine selection and the staff really know their stuff. If you are unsure what to go for, just ask and they will recommend the perfect pairing for your dish. I didn't have one of their gin and tonics, which I regret now I'm home as I saw it prepared at another table and it was pure theatre. Service: The service at Caliu is probably the best I've received anywhere in the world. Roberto and Andres are both super professional, but friendly and fun. We made several visits, including nights where the restaurant was packed and I never found myself looking around for service or feeling rushed. Overall: If you are staying in the area, do yourself a favour and book this restaurant. So good we will be travelling back just to eat here.

¡NOS ENCANTÓ LA COCINA DE CALIU RESTAURANT! Degustamos una sinfonía de platos que diseñó Maite Gene, madre del propietario del restaurante, Robert Colé, que nos gustaron muchísimo. Desde unas debilidades gastronómicas como un ‘pa amb tomaquet amb secallona’ (pan con tomate con secallona), hasta unos huevos flor a la carbonara: huevos de corral pochados y napados a la clásica a base de bacon, nata y parmesano; pasando por unas croquetas de cocido de la Maite. Todo estuvo a una gran altura gastronómica. También nos encantaron los filetitos de lubina al grill con aceite de trufa. Caliu es un pequeño templo culinario que pensamos redescubrir en un próximo viaje. Merece la pena hacerlo.

Super nice small restaurant Extremely friendly service. Super tasty Ribera del Duero wine. Very juicy and well grilled pork shoulder. Sweet mud cake as dessert. Highly recommended!

Still just brilliant After an 18 month gap we returned to our favourite restaurant to find everything is just as good, and the attention to detail is just the same. Think the size of the fillet steaks are even bigger now, so make sure you are very hungry.
